On May 2, 2025, the President Lounge Menara Batavia hosted a seminar titled "Wisdom and Innovation: 60 Years Journey of Cancer Research and Treatment" led by Prof. Xu Kecheng, a renowned expert in oncology. This seminar was organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, President University and attended by prominent scientists, including Prof. Amin Soebandrio, as well as faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine, President University.
The seminar discussed the advancements in cancer treatment technology, focusing on comprehensive and minimally invasive approaches, including topics such as the abscopal effect of cryoablation, irreversible electroporation therapy (nanoknife), microvessel intervention, and the use of nuclear medicine modalities in treating solid cancers.
Additionally, the seminar also explored the potential for research collaboration between President University and Royal Lee Hospital in oncology research, with the aim of establishing a leading cancer center in Indonesia, which will be developed in Jababeka Cikarang. This collaboration is expected to have a significant impact on the advancement of cancer treatment in the country.
During the event, Mr. SD Darmono, the founder of Jababeka, delivered a speech, warmly welcoming the seminar and expressing his hope for continued collaboration between President University and Royal Lee Hospital. He emphasized the potential of this partnership to contribute greatly to the development of cancer treatment in Indonesia, particularly at the Jababeka Cikarang center for cancer research and treatment.
