Cikarang, December 7, 2024 – The Faculty of Medicine, President University, in collaboration with PT. DKSH Indonesia, successfully hosted the symposium "Office Syndrome: From Problems to Solutions" at the Holiday Inn, Jababeka, Cikarang. This event brought together healthcare practitioners and clinicians from Bekasi, Cikarang, Karawang, and surrounding areas to address the growing concerns of office syndrome among office workers.
The symposium attracted more than 80 participants, who enthusiastically engaged in discussions and activities throughout the event.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the Study Program, who delivered a welcoming speech emphasizing the importance of this symposium in integrating the Academic Health System into the industrial area. The program aimed to provide practical and evidence-based solutions to improve workplace ergonomics and enhance productivity among office workers.
One of the highlights of the symposium was the presentation by Dr. Rima Melati, dr., MKK, Sp.Ak(K), who shared the findings of a study conducted by a research team led by Dr. Radite Nusasenjaya, dr., Sp.OK, MKK from President University, in collaboration with Dr. Ardini Saptaningsih, dr., MPH from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Padjadjaran. The study revealed that the prevalence of office syndrome remains significantly high among office workers. The data was collected using the Office Syndrome Questionnaire, a tool validated and tested for reliability.
